Tamworth is regional NSW’s ‘event city’ and is proud to have hosted a wide range of special events, conferences and concerts, including: 

2005 Arrive Alive Eastern University Games (4000 participants)
Jehovah’s Witness Conference (4000 participants)
National Cutting Horse Association Championships (2000 participants)
Australian Wheat Board Conference (700 delegates)
Registered Clubs Association Annual Conference (1500 delegates)

Tamworth is home to the largest entertainment eentre outside capital cities, with more than 4,500sq m of exhibition and conference space, on-site parking for 1000 vehicles and coaches and a seating capacity up to 5000.

Tamworth region has a population of almost 60,000 and Tourism Tamworth can think big when it comes coordinating special events.  Tamworth attracts over 50,000 people over the 10 days of the Tamworth Country Music Festival presented by Telstra each year in January and over 1 million visitors every year.

There are more than 40 hotels and motels (more than 3000 beds) in Tamworth, with meeting room facilities and 5-star deluxe to budget accommodation. There are a number of up-market clubs and function venues catering for conferences and events.

Convention delegates can enjoy locally sourced food and wine as part of their dining experience. There are more than 30 award-winning restaurants, serving the fine dining experience, outdoor cafes and steakhouses. 
 
The Tamworth region stretches north-west to Barraba and Manilla and east to Bendemeer and Nundle.  These smaller centers and their attractions are a short drive from Tamworth and are ideal for a conference get-away.
