2008 TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

The 2008 Tamworth Country Music Festival presented by Telstra will be held Friday 18th - Sunday 27th January 2008 (inclusive), with Australia Day falling on Saturday 26th. Why not take make a long weekend of it and enjoy the one of the biggest and best Country Music Festivals in the world and take in the 36th Country Music Awards of Australia which will be held on Saturday 26th January. 

Every January, 50,000 visitors come to Tamworth to celebrate the Country Music Festival. These visitors make the Festival what it is today, and in 2008, we will be celebrating the 36th anniversary of the Festival.

You don’t have to love country music to have a great time in Tamworth – the atmosphere, the fringe festivals and the regional visitor attractions keep everyone well entertained. If you’re into all kinds of music, then this is heaven – we know you’ll enjoy it all because we’ve been putting on one of the best parties in the world for years now.

2008 HATS OFF TO COUNTRY FESTIVAL

The 2008 Hats Off to Country Festival will be held Thursday 3rd - Sunday 6th July, 2008 (inclusive). This event is a special mid-year celebration of country music in Tamworth. The festival will also incorporate the annual Camerata Graduation Concert and the CCMA Junior Winter Talent Quest as well as a soon-to-be announced premier evnet to be held on the Saturday night featuring some of Australia's favourite country music artists.
